Do you think that I should turn it in before it gets worst? and no I'm not a member of the pro support.

Sign up for pro service and send it in. I've been meaning to sign up but haven't gotten around to it. Sony has been stepping their service up so they might take care of you. A broken front element is a different story from a malfunctioning AF system.

Gene after reading at the requirement i failed right off the butt. lol Thanks though.

it says you have to be an owner of 2 full frame. I only have the RII and the A6000.

i had a paid senior portrait yesterday. we've waited for the right time for the sun to hide a bit. just as the right time came, the autofocus of my 85GM was acting up. it won't focus. it will focus then when you full press, it will go out of focus. it was acting for almost 5minutes. i was so pissed off as the mom was watching me looking like i didn't know what i was doing. i tried turning off. i tried to removed the lens and put it back. nothing works. as some point it just work again..

here's a couple of unretouch images. they are fraternal twins.

what a nightmare

had this once and because of it, I never go to any paying shoot without 3 cameras, and backups for backups

was it not able to Manual Focus?

Hockey and wedding photographer. Favourite camera / lens combos: a 1DX II with a Tamron 45 1.8 VC, an A7Rii with a Canon 24-70F2.8L II, and a 5DSR with a Tamron 85 1.8 VC. Every lens I own I strongly recommend [Canon (35Lii, 100L Macro, 24-70F2.8ii, 70-200F2.8ii, 100-400Lii), Tamron (45 1.8, 85 1.8), Sigma 24-105]. If there are better lenses out there let me know because I haven't found them.

i tried to manual focus and it can't. strange. I thought I messup my diopter but it's not either.

I was suppose to bring my 2470GM but I intentionally didn't to forced myself to shoot with the 85. Wrong decision.

Few more edits from my day. My assignment was to try and get the petroglyphs in relation to where Frank Lloyd Wright positioned them.... or how they interact with the landscape.

I suggested to the Foundation that they do a "study" of Pedro Guerro's work with Frank Lloyd Wright and they thought it might be a good thing and are going to bring it up in there next meeting....... crossing fingers.
