My wedding gig is 9 days from now and my films are all ready. I think I'm more excited than the bride and groom. :)

Pelican SD Case

Does it require much force to pop those cards in and out? My Gepe cases are great for CF cards but require too much force for SD cards...so looking for a better solution.

The Pelican Case is foam, so not a big deal to get the cards out.

anyone shooting with the Rokinon 135 F2? I ordered one last night and am really looking forward to shooting cars with it. Looks like a great lens.

if you don't mind manual focusing i can tell it's even sharper than the 135L. I had the Samyang version but they are the same. Just re-branded.

RAW only or Raw + JPEG? Can't imagine how often you'd have to swap if you're shooting RAW + JPEG with those 42mp files. I shoot RAW+JPEG and having dual card slots is my single most requested feature with any new camera.

I'm shooting raw only. I'm planning to swap between parts of the wedding. the prep, the portrait, the ceremony and the reception.
Yah I'm hoping they will make and A7RIII with the A9 body with the same A7RII price when it came out.

Few shots from last night testing out my new Rokinon 135 F2 - absolutely loving this lens. I can't wait to shoot with it more. Red Z is my toy.

Just added a 4th wedding to the pipeline. Madness starts in September. I'm hoping Sony at least announces a new a7 body by then....if not I'll probably snag a used a9 and sell it later when either these weddings are done or a new body is announced. It's no ideal, but the best tool for the job at the moment.

received my mc11 just now... works decently with canon 10-18 efs lens..
which solves my need for uwa lens for the a6500 atleast (for now )

works ok'ish with ef 50 1.4 ,, works better than with fotodiox which really rare that it did anything

and I don't own any sigma lenses but based on how it works with lenses it doesn't officially support , I think I should be satisfied with how it will work with sigma lesnses..
sigma 's 18-35 f1.8
50-100 f1.8
135 f1.8

all on my list of possibilites

Few more edits from my day. My assignment was to try and get the petroglyphs in relation to where Frank Lloyd Wright positioned them.... or how they interact with the landscape.

I suggested to the Foundation that they do a "study" of Pedro Guerro's work with Frank Lloyd Wright and they thought it might be a good thing and are going to bring it up in there next meeting....... crossing fingers.

Cool shots!

I can't help but feel a little bothered by the use of that petroglyph stone, as a decoration for an architecture firm building. Does that feel... just wrong... to anyone else?

Sweeeeet Z. I'm a Z-lover myself, always have been. I drove a '78 280 all through high school and college, and a few years ago picked up it's doppelganger. (non-Sony shot)
