That's how the story goes. And it's 'bags' of silver. $3000 worth was carried by pack mules. Here's a link to a brief biography of James Hodges Sr, James Jr. and John S. (my 2nd great grandfather) from Texas A & M University that tells that story. You'll see mention of it at the end of James Hodges Jr.'s bio. Gene - My Photo Gallery ||

I actually screwed up the camera settings if you look at the EXIF. Bumped the minimum shutter speed to 'high speed'...but it looks fine at medium ISO. navydoc wrote in post #18371388 Shadows seem a bit dark to me on the 1st image but that's probably just a matter of personal taste. Otherwise, both shots are very nice. Thanks Gene. I pushed the contrast in post to give it a grittier aesthetic...which crushed the shadows a bit. Charlie wrote in post #18371478 manual ttl? was doing ttl over the weekend and some shots were way underpowered... I usually use TTL outdoors and manual I doors. TTL does underexpose the flash exposure....I usually set the FEC of the key light one or two stops higher than the camera EC(i.e if camera has a -2 EC to preserve ambient highlights, I use a -1 or 0 FEC). The flash exposure always looks way brighter on the read LCD than what you see on the computer in post. focalpointsphoto.com
