Thanks for the kind words! Dirt on the lens would not resolve like that and would most likely hardly be noticeable. Those marks are definitely from dust on the sensor. You're shooting at F/22 and that's the reason they show up so clearly. Try shooting a plain white surface at F/22 to see just what you've accumulated. David.

Jun 14, 2017 10:16 | #34010 My wife and i are going to be going on a European vacation this September. We will be visiting Italy and Greece over the span of 2.5 weeks. I am super torn on bringing my A7ii with me as i don't want to feel like i need to baby sit it everywhere i go and worry about it being swiped from me. Those of you that travel a lot, particularly to other countries how have your experiences been? I don't want to stand out as the visitor and become a target with a couple grand of camera gear on me. But at the same time, i don't want to regret not having it with me and only having my iphone 7+

Jun 15, 2017 21:17 | #34013 Been missing you folks. Had a total knee replacement done 3 weeks ago. Things are great physically I am supposedly way ahead on the recovery.... I was prepared to get off the drugs prepared to knock the physical therapy off the chart. I was not prepared to sit and not sleep and just be a grump.
