I need a favour from one of the new A7RII owners if possible. Could someone take two photos for me and supply me with the RAW files?

Both photos ISO 1250, f/4, 120 seconds taken with the lens cap on. One image with LENR turned off and the other with it turned on?

Im a little concerned with what im seeing in regards to LE noise/hot pixels. I want to check how well the LENR deals with it. I also want to compare it to a similar shot taken with my 5DIII.

And I vouch for 16-35 f/4L IS. Sony has a comparable offering and I have one on order to compare - it boils down to preference and how one assembles the gear for a shoot (would one carry an adapter just for this lens while the rest is an FE or if it's one of the Canon lenses to be used with A7 series). 70-300L is also very good in daylight - given it's not a fast lens to begin with and its focal length renders itself more as an outdoor lens, its AF performance with A7RII should be adequate for most occasions.

24-70II is a keeper for sure given the Sony's native FE offering leaves a lot to be desired.

By the way, has anyone tested 70-200 f/4L IS? It's an excellent lens that debuted right at the AF eligibility cusp in 2006, and Sony has the FE version of this.

Lol that is the set up I am wondering about i have the 16-35 f4 is and the 70-200 f4 is...... however I have comlite adapters. I keep weighing the issue of move to Sony totally or pick up the Metabones and live with what I have...... Since I have the A6000 I really think I am going to move to the Sony but will have to spread the purchase out over time since it is a significant investment.

Also decided seeming as the A7s + lens is much smaller/lighter than my 5DIII...it needs its own mini light timelapse rig. May make this one 2 axis once I manage to write a working Android app for bluetooth control.

For those who are wondering, I don't use NR unless I'm pushing past ISO25,600 with this camera.

I had a chance to try out using the Play Memories Mobile remote control app this morning. I used the FE 55mm lens to cover all the "flowerettes". The feeder is in a great spot for the hummingbirds but not so much to video. The feeder is in the shade and one of the few angles I have for setting up the camera on it's tripod causes the feeder to be strongly backlit. Because of this, I used an Ev of +1.3.

The app works great and of course, there is a delay between the events and the reception of it but so far, it hasn't been an issue. Maybe next time I'll try a telephoto such as my Canon 70-200 f4 and see how much detail I can get filming at 4K. I may also try 720p at 120fps and try some slow motion.

For some reason, viewing my 2160p video through IE only goes up to 720p. I need to see if I can figure out why so I can resolve this. The clip can be viewed in full 4K using Chrome as your browzer.

Funny you posted this. When I went home at lunch, I saw your previous comment regarding this app and thought I'd give it a try (since I've never done video before).
I sat in the shade, on my couch, and turned on recording when I saw my local Rufous heading for the feeder. Works very well. I'll post the video tonight after I download it from the camera and put it on Flickr.

Sony A7RII and a bunch of lenses.

This is my last shot with the A7R. I took this to be able to checked and proved the actual shutter count. Not ordering yet. I still have to raise funds.

I can't believe how easy it is to know the shutter actuations. Shoot jpeg and upload to flicker SOOC(no photoshop at all). At flicker check "Show Exif", look for "Image Count" and that's it. That's the shutter actuation.

Anyone interested with my Nikkor 135mm F2 AI/S, Nokton Classic 40mm F1.4MC and Battery grip(OEM) for A7, A7S and A7R?

A note about silent shooting. There is a snag if you are using a pre-2006 lens-a black-out period and it doesn't always take the shot. Switch to Silent shutter to off when using those lenses with an adapter--or the Vitrox adapter for sure.
In camera steadyshot still works. You have to make sure silent shooting is off. You have to select manual setting for steadyshot and within the manual setting you have to select 135, for example for the Canon L lens, as the focal length. As an old manual shooter, this works fine for me, but I hope metabones addresses this issue in the future.

I'm looking forward to seeing your video. I wish I had better light for my set up and I'd like to try some slo-mo of the hummers as well.

I visited my next door neighbor today and was able to stay connected to the camera and could control it even from there.
