Now please give us a 4-5 min. exposure with LENR turned off ![]() I think I've got one of those remotes ---if I can find ![]() I done a 4 minute exposure at the weekend with LENR turned off using the lee big stopper to test for hot pixels. I didn't have a remote (still need to repurchase that cheap one) so just held the button in for 4 mins on a tripod. It was at ISO 100 and the resulting image had zero hot pixels and was very clean. It seems the hot pixels only appear when the iso is increased but are easy to remove if they do appear. This issue blown way out of proportion. Leica M11 | Leica Q2 | Sony α7RV

Eddie xpfloyd lookalike More info | Aug 31, 2015 03:26 | #4645 Techart have released a firmware update for their eagle mkiii adaptor which allows fast af of the contax g lenses on the a7rii and can utilise all 399 focus points. Apparently the g90 focusses as fast as the batis 85. There seems to be a slight issue with some if the g lenses whereby it hunts at MFD but the 90mm is looking good. I'm seriously thinking about giving it a go. I have the batis 85 on order but this is a fraction of the price and smaller. Only thing is its 2.8 vs 1.8 Leica M11 | Leica Q2 | Sony α7RV

Aug 31, 2015 05:54 | #4646 vinmunoz wrote in post #17689259 i think with sharpness they're close. even if the batis is a bit sharper, it can't do macro. MFD is even farther on most 85mm. Bokeh though I'm sure the batis wins but I just got out of being obsess with bokeh now. The 90mm will force me to shoot at 2.8 which is good(for me). Tested shooting at my usual shooting time or ambient and I only need to go up to ISO400 which is nothing for all the A7 cameras. I'm more into sharpness and macro capability. now if i win lotto tomorrow, i will order all the FE lenses including both the Batis. ![]() Well, I can understand that people prefer the FE 90mm F/2.8 Macro G OSS over the Batis 1.8/85 because it has macro capabilities and a shorter MFD. But I don't get the argument "it is sharper" since I haven't seen any proof of that. To me, the strongest point of the FE 90mm F/2.8 Macro G OSS is the macro feature and its secondary function (not its strongest point) is that it can act as a portrait lens. Even if people don't care about the bokeh, the difference is still 1 stop and 1/3 which is a lot. While ISO400 may not be noisy at all, I would still prefer ISO160 over ISO400 if I could live with the limited DOF that F/1.8 brings with it. And then there's also the Zeiss rendering. So as a portrait lens, the Batis 1.8/85 is the clear winner to me. xpfloyd wrote in post #17689575 Techart have released a firmware update for their eagle mkiii adaptor which allows fast af of the contax g lenses on the a7rii and can utilise all 399 focus points. I think I've shot one portrait in the last 5 years. Would love to give that macro a try but really getting to grips with what I've already got, plus a new camera is on the way. But for you guys wrestling with the decision of Batis vs dual function FE90, can you really loose either way? flickr
