The costume shop on the right

This is on Florida Ave facing Harvard St. I liked how the traffic signals lit up the signs.

Has anybody here bought one of the Loxia lenses? I just ordered the old C/Y Zeiss 50/1.7 so I probably won't be upgrading anytime soon (that soon anyway  ), but I've really been interested in these Loxia primes. Seems like nobody here uses them though... the Loxia 50/2 looks pretty awesome.

Thanks. My ancestors came to California from Illinois around 1907. I'm pretty sure they came by train although I do know that a great uncle bought a 1907 Locomobile. (The base price of $2,800 of 1907 dollars would be worth: $71,794.87 in 2015)

Got an FE35/2.8 ordered and on its way, bought second hand cheaper than what a Fe28 would have cost me. Very anxious to use my first FE prime on the A7ii.

Congrats. I think it's a great little lens and is what I used for those night shots I posted earlier.

Not the sexiest lens on paper, but very good optically. Enjoy it!

Just back from the summer trip and I have to say the A7R performed as expected. Level of detail captured with the Canon 16-35 is impressive! Only problem I have is some shots showing lens flare/reflection in the corners. Pretty sure it is the Viltrox converter as it happened with multiple lenses. really miffed about that on some shots. Will post examples once I have any ;)

The A7R2 is looking real tasty!

Its reflections in the adaptor. You need to flock it (they all should be supplied flocked but they are not). I'm about to do my viltrox as I have the same issue. Flocking paper was £10

This.

I also flocked my screw on metal lens hoods while I was at it... not sure if it really made a difference, but it took 5 minutes, so why not? :)

Saw this crazy flock of birds on top of this crane in DC... reminded me of Hitchcock

I'm doing some lens tests, hoping to get the 70-200G added to these tests. For now, the tests have the 70-400G1 compared to the 70-200mk2. May add the the minolta beercan for the hell of it too. Hopefully, this will help some that are doing some soul searching.
