My flock paper arrived so will be attempting to flock my adaptor later tonight. Wanted it sorted before I go on holiday on saturday.

Bad news though with my CV15. The website said in stock and I phoned today to make sure it was posted and they said they were waiting on stock due to high demand so wont have it for my holiday :(

Ok I want video so I can know.... or not know what to do

Just downloaded the touchless shutter app from Playmemories. Works great and allows greater than 30sec exposures
in Bulb mode....this might be old news, got a new camera and trying to get up to speed with it at the detriment of the Rii :(

What new camera have you gotten MedicineMan?

That is very sharp looking Vinz!

I'm off to San Diego tomorrow. Seems silly, for a 2 day trip, but due to my indecisive nature, I'm taking way too much camera gear (6D, A7II, 4 EF lenses for the Canon, but adaptable to the Sony, 2 CV lenses, 2 FD lenses and the Rokinon, plus the FE 24-70 and a tripod). Seems nuts, huh...
One of these days, I will learn to make due with less.

I can't help it. It's a disease. :)

I suffer from the "what if I find myself in a situation where I need x focal length and don't have it w me? Or this or that zoom range. Or this or that filter."

I know they say the good photographer can make due with any. But I can't. LOL.
I'm always worried I'm gonna miss the one lens or item I want most for a given shot.
How do you all do it? I know people who take just one lens on an outing and set it as a challenge.

Puckman I added the Lumix GX8. I'll take a pic of the m43s family later with the Rii
and post it up, excuse to take inventory if nothing else.

Simple: be creative.

Not enough zoom? Try to get closer with your feet. Still not enough zoom? Crop in post.

Also, sometimes you'll just miss a shot for whatever reason. It's nothing to be ashamed of. Just remember that the world doesn't end if you miss a shot or a shot doesn't turn out the way you wanted it to. Keep that in mind and you'll be fine. :-P

I sometimes overdo it too when traveling, but there is something oddly "liberating" about grabbing a single prime lens and limiting your shooting to the one lens. I wouldn't do a whole trip like that, but for a photo outing I frequently do. Every so often a scenario arises where I'll wish I had a different lens at hand, but I quickly forget those things. Meanwhile limiting oneself to a single lens does something to stretch the creativity. A limiting factor of some sort, like using a single prime lens, can (and really should) enhance creativity.

I remember a time not too long ago that many of us here said that using the Sony A7x series camera put the fun back in photography for them because it gave them a small, light setup that was easy to take along. Oh how soon we forget. ;-)a

I own zooms but don't prefer them...but I'm a big proponent of zooms for travel. Cropping in post and zooming with your feet isn't the same as changing focal lengths, as the FOV is very different between focal lengths...which is why zooms go a long way.

I usually travel light (single zoom and 1 fast prime), but on my last trip I freaked out and packed a bag full of lenses. It was a heavy PITA and really got in the way of enjoying myself. The funny thing was when I looked through the keepers, the majority of the shots could have been done on my 16-35 f4, and the Sigma 35 1.4 I had at the time.
