Eddie, you might even find a large O-ring that will work. Here's a site in the UK:

Hmmm the Voigtlander 15 viii showed up..... not a lot of time with it but it is ....'weird" feeling.

Not sure i like the focusing mechanism..... focus peaking really doesnt seem to work. Everything looks red but when i zoom nothing is in focus so that is disturbing.

Will put it through more paces tomorrow

Anyone owns the FE28-70 kit lens? Is it good? Might be good for wedding receptions since i'm at f5.6 anyway with flash.

Like / Hate relationship. It vignettes pretty bad. Not terribly fast at focus. But I got mine used for 225 bucks so for the money it is decent more of a back up lens for me..... but i dont shoot people i shoot things so take my 2 cents for just that.

It takes a while to break in the focus ring. You should be able to magnify your view and slowly move the focus until you see a sharp item. What camera have you put it on?. The 12mm, 15mm and some others, including the CV 40mm f1.4 are so small that there's hardly room for fingers and thumb to grip-- it takes practice.

Possibly one of the older versions. The version III is upgraded to work better with mirrorless. Not a screw mount? You will always have some vignetting, which can be corrected in post.
Post some pix. lets see the results.

pretty sure he was referring to the 28-70, not CV15.

On the CV15 i have it on the A7rII.... focus is smooth it just does not appear to play well with focus peaking. I will have more time to play with it tomorrow and determine further.

Per the stimulation of NavyDoc my Metabones IV is off to B&H for exchange for the 'latest' T version.
Wish me luck :)
Not that I was not pleased, but too many posters have had better success with the Sigma 35mm 1.4 ART.
Hoping the change will do me better.

I have always pushed as far as possible to the right before blowing out highlights I want to keep...it is like the old film days.

I look at a scene, and in a night scene, I know everything interesting is a good 4-5 stops "below a middle grey"...so I bump it all +2 to +3 EV to get the detail I want and if I blow some highlights I wanted to keep...an HDR may be the fix for non-moving stuff.

This brings me to a question I keep forgetting to ask. I seem to have to keep my A7 on +2/3 or +1 exposure comp pretty much all of the time. Anyone else the same?
