Cool shots Vinz. I miss the 90 Macro.

What are your thoughts having used the a7rII to shoot a wedding?

I will try that.

I always start with lightroom to do minor adjustments especially the luminosity and white balance, then i right-click and go edit in PS then back to LR for final cropping and export.

what does photoshop do for editing that lightroom can't,i used to use macs aperture and i still do but i have been using lighroom 5 for about a month now,i must need to update it though as it won't open arw files,i have to convert them to dng files,it will however read my olympus em5 raw files,i have downloaed a few free presets for light room and i have a few 3rd party extensions i edit with such as topaz labs for sharpening and few others,

for wedding i guess it's up to the task. For me it's better than 5D3.

the AF-C is amazing. on the portion where the bridal parties enters the reception area, they were dancing while walking-in to the reception, i forgot i was at 1/125th, because of AF-C, they still came out sharp.

I also never have trouble with autofocusing. High ISO is so good.

Thanks for the feedback. When using AF-c, are you using lock-on AF or just a regular AF area?

holy hell vinz, those high iso shots are pushing the envelope for sure, they look very good for what they are. And the ring shot is amazing.

Personally, I dont think I would go past 12800 (assuming the rii is a stop better than the r classic).

when i need to dodge and burn small patches of unwanted shadows ang highlights, photoshop for me is more better. more control. you can also do that in LR but it's just more accurate and faster in PS in my opinion. I like to do the toning and evening out of skin tones in PS.

for hundreds of wedding shots though, i stay with LR.

nikon AF adapter is not available yet. I think commlite is making one, but not sure. I do have a nikon adapter which gives aperture control for AF lenses, but no electronics at all.

So happy to see that the newer sensors are retaining color detail at those high ISO's! The main reason I sold my a7R was above ISO3200 images were just bad imo, the a7S solved that issue, seems the a7Rii does as well :)

speaking of photo editing hardware.....have you guys seen the palette system?

editing photos is the non-sexy part of photography. i imagine a wedding photographer with this set-up at a wedding reception, doing same day edits during the meal and looking like a badass lol

Mmmm, pretty neat. If the sliders were motorized, it would be a win.
