Thanks so much Gene!! I hope this premature-retirement plan works out. Next 6-7 years will be tight. But, if it all works out it will mean that I only had to work full-time for 27 years. Mainly I hope I can generate just enough sales from my photography to pay my travel expenses as I travel around Georgia capturing the imagery there.

I need to come up with a cool business name. I need ideas. "David Arbogast Photography" is lame and horrible. Need something that speaks to Georgia or the Southeast region.

Also, I've known a hirsute woman whose name is Georgia, so that's the first thing that comes to my mind than the Peachtree State full of Southern Charm.

The color of my "businees card" for David was Peach too. I also thought that "Darbo" sounded similar enough to Garbo (as in Greta Garbo for those here too young to remember her) that it would help stick in peoples minds. One of the biggest hurdles in finding a suitable business name is to find one that is not already taken.

I bought the Helios 44-2 because it was known to swirl the bokeh. Unfortunately it didn't swirl it enough for me and even worse it would only do it at 8ft.

Thankfully I was able to modity it to get much more swirl and it will do it at close distances as well now!

I'll toss a DIY video on youtube later this week.

Just one more thought for David to ponder for a new business name. I added a slight twist to the title of the song "Georgia on my mind"

I've got a degree from UGA, love peaches too but I don't know about the peach color for a man.....what's wrong with red and black?

Just thinking of something that speaks "Georgia". I figured the color represents a business, not necessarily a man. I also subscribe to the KISS principle when it comes to design.

Question for macro shooters. If I have a 1:1 macro lens, shouldn't I be able to get inches from my subject? Or do I need extension tubes? I'm finding that I'm still about 7-8" from my subject and have to crop quite a bit.
