I bought a macro adaptor for it that had elements inside (but not the one that normally comes with it) but I think i am going to return it. It gives me closer than 1:1 magnification when maxed out (1:0.6) but it also loses 2.75 stops of light. I have had a play around with it but its just too close for me just now. I think 1:2 will do just fine and I can always crop in post Leica M11 | Leica Q2 | Sony α7RV

Eddie xpfloyd lookalike More info | Oct 22, 2015 16:01 | #8165 With regards to my IBIS query the manual states - "The SteadyShot function may not work optimally when the power has just been turned on, right after you point the camera towards a subject, or when the shutter button has been pressed all the way down without stopping halfway". This sort of suggests that when steadyshot is switched on it is active all the time and not just on a half press of the shutter button (like an EF IS lens would be). Leica M11 | Leica Q2 | Sony α7RV

thanks dean, the cv12 is so much win for me, love the lens, it's always with me in a small pouch. I do keep it protected since it's one of my few lenses that I shoot filterless Sony A7siii/A7iv/ZV-1 - FE 24/1.4 - SY 24/2.8 - FE 35/2.8 - FE 50/1.8 - FE 85/1.8 - F 600/5.6 - CZ 100-300 - Tamron 17-28/2.8 - 28-75/2.8 - 28-200 RXD

when you zoom in with manual glass, it's definitely stabilized, the zoom action turns it on as well as half press. Sony A7siii/A7iv/ZV-1 - FE 24/1.4 - SY 24/2.8 - FE 35/2.8 - FE 50/1.8 - FE 85/1.8 - F 600/5.6 - CZ 100-300 - Tamron 17-28/2.8 - 28-75/2.8 - 28-200 RXD

A7R2 - FE 24-70/4 OSS. ![]() My original version of this same scene, shot last year with the 6D and EF 16-35/4 is hanging on my wall and is a much nicer final product, IMO. I'm not sure what was missing in last week's version.... This shot would be killer when you would stand more to the right so the horizontal street/bridge would be more in perspective, with a wide angle lens. I hope you know how i mean haha Sony A7RII | Sony A7S

I thought it only activated on the half press of the shutter button. Is that not the case? (Just like lens stabilisation doesnt run until you half press the shutter button) xpfloyd wrote in post #17756243 With regards to my IBIS query the manual states - "The SteadyShot function may not work optimally when the power has just been turned on, right after you point the camera towards a subject, or when the shutter button has been pressed all the way down without stopping halfway". No Flickr access from my work. masberg24 wrote in post #17756287 The Broad Museum in LA I took a couple of shots of the building from outside during my DTLA walk last weekend. I'll post later. But wasn't too happy with the outside perspectives of it. Too much going on on that street. I have the same trouble photographing the Disney Concert Hall. Sony A7RII and a bunch of lenses.
