Nice processing Lee, nice shots Vinz & Charlie

Heres a shot of my new toy. Still waiting on amazon delivering the micro SD card so can only photograph it at the moment. These are all the bits you get in the "Adventure" kit.

Shot with my Sony so sort of fits in this thread

With regards to the GoPro and the field of view there is a wide setting and a medium setting. I thought the medium setting might be too narrow so checked the stats. The medium is actually a wider FOV than my Samyang 14!!

Nice...I like the colors of your GoPro Eddie. I think the wide setting might be OK outdoors where there is nothing close like a wall that looks very distorted and as long as the camera is kept level. The medium view is more forgiving. Here's a quick one I shot this morning on the medium setting trying to figure out the controls on my gimbal and what settings are best to use too.

The ultimate mount?

Just experimenting with different ways to mount my GoPro + Came Action Gimbal. In this configuration, the tabletop tripod is just there for convenience to demonstrate on the table.

Just above the tripod is a flash bracket to mount my smart phone. With the GoPro app, I can completely control the camera + view what the camera sees although slightly delayed.

Above that is an extension arm to allow me to shoot either low or high by, uh, extending it. For the heck of it, I also mounted the GoPro Smart Remote there.

Finally, the Came Action Gimbal and GoPro Hero 4 Silver. This gimbal has a cable that connects it to the camera so the camera draws power from the gimbal thus extending the battery life in camera.

Overkill? Probably, but I can mix and match these items depending on my needs. It was a fun excercise to see what combinations I could cobble together for the "ultimate" mount.

Thanks for all the comments everyone.

Gene - is your gopro a different colour?

Lee - do you have a link to the adaptor?

Nice setup there, Gene :)

Which tabletop tripod is that? I think I need me one of those little, easy to plunk anywhere, tripods.

certainly looks good vinz, I've also returned to 135mm F2, I gave into my lust a few weeks ago.

Which one did you end up getting? I still have the FD 135/2. Lovely portrait lens, but too heavy to carry around. I also have your Vivitar 135 but that's a 2.8. Much smaller and easier to carry around. I'd like to find a good contrasty 135/2 that's as small and light as the Vivitar. What are you all using?

I got the 135L again with the Metabones 4. It'll be reserved strictly for event and portraiture. I just gave up the idea of carrying long and fast for day to day stuff. I'll go so far as 135 F2.8, however, 100 F2.5 works well to compliment 200, and it's pretty nice for portraits in a pinch. 135F2 (of any kind)/ZE100, simply too heavy to carry around.

if there was a small and light 135F2, I'de be all over it.

Ok. So what's the best 135/2.8 out there that's a small size?
Again, I'm using your Vivitar as a reference point for size and weight. That thing is small and light.
