The pentax looks really good based on what you've posted. Why are you getting rid of it?

Simply gas... Lol

rokinon or samyang? they're the same right? I know rokinon is a rebrand samyang but do they have difference in optical quality?

I have a Rokinon, had a Bower before that and returned it due to aperture issues... all are identical optically and physically, only went with the Rokinon the second time because the price went lower ;)

i found a cheap one at amazon but i'm doubtful because there's no picture. is this a gray market?

IDK, but that's not a particularly low price, they're sold regularly from all labels around $550.

$378 vs $549 that's not bad.

Nothing artsy here, just wanted to convey I had a great Thanksgiving with lots of friends. The gentleman on the left is the one who just made Lt. Col. in the US Marines. The hand holding the beer on the right belongs to my neighbor buddy, a former Marine. :-)

Yeah, have thought this too. However, the video was uploaded before A7 cameras and conquered the market. And on the 6D the 135L really was amazinglx sharp. Now with 36mpx sensors and up the little imperfections show up on lenses.

Btw: this thread just reached 300k views. Crazy!

I've been really intrigued by the SY 135. It's very sharp by all accounts. Our friend Daniel occasionally posts samples in here and they always look great.
I am curious how the SY135/2 compares to my FD135/2.
Obviously, the SY has more modern coatings. But the FD has been phenomenal for me. I'd really like to compare the 2.

Speaking of portraits and sharpness. The FE 90 is just about the sharpest lens I've ever shot. And combined with Face detection and Eye AF. It makes for the perfect portrait platform.

Some shots from my improvised home studio, with my sister and niece and nephew, visiting yesterday.
