I think you're being a bit too critical on yourself, they all look in adequate focus to me, it's a nice shot ;)

yup. that's a nice shot.

So, my trials and tribulations with color profiles did not pan out.
Now I'm back to square one. Starting in LR and going from there.

Here are 2 JPG exports. The first is what my pic looks like in PS and LR.
The 2nd is what it looked like when I messed around with proofs and profiles in PS (and that is how my print turned out, even though it was printed from the original TIFF that looks like the first pic).

Puckman,

Have you checked the color management profile for your printer? I wonder if it is defaulting to your printer and not your software you are using.

Sorry disregard, I just realized you weren't printing these at home.

Exactly. The first one is what I am going for.
The 2nd one is a mess. Not sure how it ended up that way. I messed up the profiles, that's for sure.
I started over from scratch.
Brought the LR original into PS. It opened as ProPhoto profile.
Now I'm using the "Convert To Profile" to convert it to sRGB. Still looks good when I proof colors.

Earlier, I had not used "convert", so when I proofed against sRGB, it looked wrong.

Makes me think Costco is not handling ProPhoto correctly and is assuming my JPG upload to be sRGB.

At least that's my theory.

Will reprint tomorrow and see what comes out of it.

Thanks for the encouragement and suggestion. :) This isn't my area of photography interest and I don't get much practice, but it's nice to get stretched somewhat by shooting something a bit out of one's depth.

Dean, when I export the final image from lightroom to photoshop for web and print I let lightroom convert to srgb and jpeg on export (I've got an export preset saved). I never use the convert to function of photoshop as my image is already srgb when it gets there and I've never had an issue with colour on prints. Might be worth a try for you?

Looks very yummy Gene.

Thanks, it was! After I took it out of the bag, I saved the juices for later and then made a glaze of mustard and Worcestershire sauce for it. Placed on the grill for a quick sear and then sliced for serving, I poured a little of the juices back on them.

Glazed...and grilled.

In addition to everything else going on around here yesterday, my neighbor asked me to take couple of photos of her before she went out. I used my Sigma 35mm f1.4 lens with a bare flash bounced for them. Here's one of them...

I awoke very early this morning (4:09am) and saw two bright 'stars' out my window. Using the program "Stellarium" on my phone, it shows they are Jupiter and Mars.

Shot using my Sigma 35mm @ f1.4

As you can tell, I'm all over the place when it comes to the types of photographs I like to take.
