As the storm clouds moved swiftly from right to left, the half moon would reveal itself occasionally.

I'm curious if anyone thinks the full frame is a better composition.

Got up at 5 AM to hit the streets at the Riverwalk. Here is one of the keepers I came away with. Challenging scene to develop in post for sure. 5 exposures blended in part manually and with some assistance from Raya Pro.

I believe this was captured around 6 AM

I gotta ask, I read few nightmare stories about Sony customer service and repair centers, that they don't even have their own repair centers that its all out sourced. That repair cost is extremely high.

Anyone had any personal experience? is it something that I should be worried about?

I do. Except for astro stuff, I never regard the sky as a photography subject, even interesting skies - it's just dressing on the turkey/ icing on the cake/ etc.

Thanks for the comments David. I suppose the moon is too small to be considered the main subject in the 'all sky' comp?

A shot of the iconic Hemisphere Tower. That mural you see under the arch was all done by one guy. It took him a year to complete it!

You kidding me? Love LOVE that last one (both are great)! Super-cool shot of the light fixture.

That hotel has a wonderful Arts & Crafts style to it.

Hope everyone's having a great Christmas (or other holiday, however you roll)

OK, I can confirm 2 things. 1) The Batis 85 is sick. I like the 90 Macro a lot, but being able to use Eye-AF with a true portrait lens will be an absolute joy for headshot sessions. And 2) when Adorama says a used lens shows little to no signs of use, they mean it. This thing still had the original factory protective plastic tape-like bit protecting the LED screen.

Please mod delete if this is inappropriate here. But i found it technically really challenging photographing this plant with my A7R2 and the FE90 at 1:1 magnification:
