Don't know too much about that bag but my vote goes to the Fstop bags. They have a Loka light backpack which would be perfect for you. I own an earlier bigger version and it's a very well made bag.

I also have an Fstop backpack. It's way too huge for what I am looking for here. The ultralight Loka is still a 30L pack, and I am looking for something in the 15-20L range. I think F Stop is geared for serious landscapers that hit the backcountry for longer term outings, where I am just looking for a day-pack thing.

A quick search on Youtube garnered several videos on the Mindshift 180°. Here's just one of them:

It looks very interesting.

I agree. And we all are Eddie - we all own products that come very bad practices. My concern about the $11 bracket is exactly that I don't believe that is a mass-produced item. For sure mass production lowers costs tremendously. But, while there are jillions of ipads and iphones, etc. how large is the actual market for form-fitted L-brackets for a7 II, a7R II, and a7S IIs? That can't be a big market; not even close. And, unlike Apple products (or other major retailers), there isn't even a parent company to hold accountable. You're basically buying an L-bracket via the Internet out of what amounts to the trunk of some shady guy's car on the street. No accountability in that chain whatever. That, I think, is where my anxiety lies the most.

And I hope I won't be misunderstood - because I am absolutely not fault-finding with anyone here who has purchased an $11 L Bracket. I very may well do the same. I just can't help but feel a measure of anxiety about it. :)

Finally I do apologize to everyone for expressing my anxieties here - this isn't the right place to talk politics. But I did want to share why I struggle with a buying decision like this for reasons that aren't necessarily performance-based.

That's a fair point mate. Its probably not mass produced now I think about it

The "Trail" version is even smaller.

I just added my thoughts on the cheap one i got since i already went that route in case someone would like to do the same.

Wow guys, just saw that:

Autofocussing an M mount lens on A7R2 impossible?

Believe it or not but it seems to work!

it's a belt pack disguised as a backpack :p

being a belt like system, I was intrigued when the bag first came out, but I think I'm over it. The belt section looks like their "speed" system, which I've used. I like the idea of the tripod suspension, I remember seeing it on the mindshifts.

contax adapter could do it as well. If the M adapter could do auto macro, it would be really nice. Keep us updated when you buy one :p

At the end of the video, it says the adapter will debut in the Spring of 2016. I'd be very interested if it's accurate regardless of the speed.

Has anyone in here ever shot the Canon 70-300L and the Sony 70-400 II?

Im asking because i need an adapter for my 70-300L to use it on my A7R2. Now i was asking myself if the 70-400 ver2 can hold up in quality with the 70-300L as i could sell the canon (my last canon lens) in favor of getting 100mm more on the long end and get the sony adapter instead. I missed out on a deal for the metabones and would be saving 200$ in getting a sony adapter instead. Costs me like 500$ after all but to me it would be worth it if the lens comes close on performance.

However, at most i will be waiting for february anyway as i want to see if sony announces a +200mm lens. But still i was wondering

Any ideas?

I have the 70-400 II and EA-LA3. While no match for a Canon 7DII and any Canon lens at focusing speed, it is sharp when it needs to be. I do not have the 70-300mm L but I do have the 70-300mm DO. Its focusing method is older and the IS is first generation, but if it works on the Sony a7RII and Metabones IV with latest upgrades, I'll go do some shots to see if it is worthwhile using it.

Canons to the left, Canons to the right,
We hold our L glass toward the light,
Digitizing in a snap reflective glory
That will forever tell our imaged story.

Fir quality cameras I would only consider hasselblad.....

Sorry mate, but that's a pretty bad comparison. While a lot of / most people cannot afford a Hasselblad camera, my Arca-Swiss Monoball Z1 SP is cheaper than e.g. a Sony FE 28mm F/2.0 lens. ;-)a

I just didn't agree with your statement implying arca swiss and rrs were the only "real quality" manufacturers for ballheads. Its simply not true IMO. No offence intended

What do you all think of the Mindshift Gear 180 Rotation (external link) backpacks? Dumb gimmick or brilliant problem solver? I am trying to imagine myself using it. Seems like a nice way of carrying gear on your back, but very easy to access. But, it's hard to guess whether it would be a more annoying than good. Thoughts?

I am looking for a way to carry a minimal gear pack (camera with lens mounted, tripod, filters, lens pens, bike locks, etc.) that I can comfortably bike and hike with.

A friend has one and loves it. I tired it on and it's very comfortable.
