Awesome shots and car, Nadim!

Here is one from my archives of my baby boy. My lens had fogged up after exiting our car when we arrived at this location. It was early in the morning. I held off on deleting the original photo as I thought I could salvage it one day. Well, it turns out today is the day! :)

I used the new dehaze feature in LR CC. I think it did a nice job recovering the photo.

Great job you both did on that image.

Yes Better BEAMER works with my bigger EOS flashes, I'm tire of their weight and size too.

Yeah I'm not a fan of lugging speed lights around when shooting casually. The i40 is a nice compromise.

The DR of Sony sensors goes a long way in negating the need for a speedlight too, Provided you have flattering light on your subject, you can easily reduce the contrast in post. Brought my 5DIII to the beach this weekend and tried to do the same. Tried to salvage these shots in post but no dice!

At the very least, having more DR puts less strain on your speedlight, as you dont need as strong of a fill when you can recover so much in post. That was the case in the sample shot of my wife in front of the Disney castle.

Nice to know the feature is there, but you can achieve the same result by doing one levels adjustment in Photoshop. It's really simple too. ;-)a

Regarding davidfarina's previous post about getting a large print: if you want to prepare your images yourself before sending them to the print company (or if you just want to print them yourself), you should watch these two video trainings. They have been really helpful to me. They teach you how printing works, which problems might arise and how these problems can be fixed before printing.

Thank you! Actually i did an apprenticeship exactly for print-pre-production, so i quite know how it works, but nonetheless its surely interesting!

Yes in the latest version of CC.

Puckman wrote in post #17607264 (external link)
There's a dehaze feature in LR? I have the CC version, latest. Haven't noticed such a feature. Do tell!

Thank you David!

I read that the dehaze feature is not just contrast and levels. Oh well, it's easy to use but probably easier to abuse.

Anyone order from White Wall? They offer custom size prints.

Wow it is bigger than i thought! And i have to say, with upsampling the A7S file to 120x90cm at 150ppi and then some sharpening i am pleased with the sharpness of this print. It looks plenty sharp from 1 meter away. I have to say that im still grabbing the A7R next time to save me that trouble ^^ but hey, the best camera is still the one you have with you, and had i grabbed the A7R instead i would have missed the rain.. Very satisfied!

that's a huge print, my cousin recently printed a photo for her home, probably only 75x50cm, and she likes it a lot:

IMAGE: https://c1.staticflickr.com/1/419/19091600785_c597c5f369_b.jpg
IMAGE LINK: https://flic.kr/p/v64rLM (external link) Printed (external link) by Charlie (external link), on Flickr

I was really surprised that she picked out a portrait orientation photo. I've had other prints for family, and they typically shy away from portrait orientation stuff. Love viewing the large prints, the bigger the better.

120x90 is HUGE, I've had one done that big, and up close, the image does deteriorate somewhat. I am wanting to do a very large stitch one day, but it has to be an epic photo, not just aesthetically, but technically as well.

Do you guys have to use adapters for the Rokinon lenses? Do they work with the MF Focus Drive & Focus Peaking?

I'm not a fan of vertical shots but that frame with that image is just a killer combo! Really nice!!!!!!!!!!!
