Yeah I didn't agree with their color tests either. Need to checkout the Haida brand more. I have heard of them, there was a thread here on POTN where someone that worked for them, or was a part of that company was making wildly inaccurate claims about sharpness with ND filters...I carried on a conversation with others in that thread and then debunked the claim...and then the thread kinda died...they look great, they look like they perform well, and for a screw on filter, probably are the best option out there. The color cast on that video was clearly to me, more closely reproduced by the B+W, which was a complete surprise to me. My experience with the B+W 10 stop was a very magenta cast that I had trouble removing to allow me to continue to work in color, while I love Black and white, I don't want everything in black and white.... Classic "nisen bokeh" ![]() Very interesting about the nisen bokeh on the 35Lii, but I guess that's to be expected after they put so much emphasis on CA correction. I'm finding myself on the fence about the Batis 85 in that one regard (and only that regard). It's sharpness and pop blow me away, CA is very well controlled. Focusing speed is totally acceptable, love the light weight and size of it. But the bokeh isn't quite as... idunno... graceful as I'd like. And unlike you, as a portrait shooter, bokeh is a big part of my bread-and-butter. - BP -

vinmunoz Cream of the Crop More info | Feb 11, 2016 13:10 | #12821 i am set to buy a Haida 10 stop filter and an app on my iphone called "+10 Stops" which will give me a conversion or shuttespeed with and without the filter. Kinda shoot a base/correct exposure without the filter, then enter the shutterspeed on the app and it will give you an equivalent shutterspeed with the 10-stop filter on. really cool. no more guessing. | SONY A7SIII(2) | A73 | A6000 | Sony A7IV | Sigma105 | FE1635F4 | Tamron 70-180mm F2.8 | Tamron 17-28 Tamron 28-75 | FE50F1.8 | Sony 16035F4PZ | SEL30mm F3.5 Macro | Canon 24mm TSE | Laowa 15mm Shift

vinmunoz Cream of the Crop More info | Feb 11, 2016 13:18 | #12824 heard that too on some youtube guys. with the app, you can change the stops(it's called filter strength). you can set it to 12 stops or whatever. for that i might go with the haida 12 stops. | SONY A7SIII(2) | A73 | A6000 | Sony A7IV | Sigma105 | FE1635F4 | Tamron 70-180mm F2.8 | Tamron 17-28 Tamron 28-75 | FE50F1.8 | Sony 16035F4PZ | SEL30mm F3.5 Macro | Canon 24mm TSE | Laowa 15mm Shift
