I prefer the eye contact of the one on the left...just wish she didn't look so sad all the time...doesn't have to be a big clown smile, but her eyes just look so sad...maybe that was the intent.

For anyone thats interested this intervalometer - http://www.amazon.co.uk …oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00 (external link) - works perfectly on the A7RII. When I was searching for one none of them list A7RII however it looks like they will all work.

it amazes me that there are not many solutions out there...I ghetto rigged my Hahnel Giga T Pro to work with the Sony via a Triggertrap cable! Works great.

Checked Amazon US page and there is an updated version available as well (on-off switch and universal reset - *edit* it's the rightmost model, NW-880/S2).

http://www.amazon.com …SC-RX100III/dp/B00NSE1F6I (external link)

This would be great since I do not have to rely on iPhone timers.

with the timelapse function. you can just setup how many shots and the interval each shots and leave it alone until it's done?

That's the one I have. It doesn't have an on off switch but auto standbys

EDIT - I Just checked mine and its not went into auto standby mode. Seems odd, surely I dont have to take the battery out?

Yes, you set the delay to the first shot, the exposure length, the interval length and the number of shots. Then you start it and leave it

Well, read a bit more online and it definitely doesnt have a on off switch which is bonkers. Two minds if I should send back or just open up and install a simple on off switch

Sorry, the link I provided points to the same model you've referred to in the Amazon UK link (I've since edited my response to clarify). Within that link, there are various intervalometer models available from the same manufacturer for various camera manufacturers and models; the updated version for Sony is the option to the far right. Different interface and controls, this is the one with on-off switch. The one you refer to is shaped like the Canon intervalometer TC-80-N3, and does not have the on-off, as noted in the most useful review.

Eddie, the Canon one doesn't have an on/off switch either. I've had it for years and it's never failed - so far. The display is on all the time - just like a digital watch or clock.

Thanks annie, the manual says it goes into low power mode when inactive. Its only two small batteries so ill just leave them in and not bother trying to put a switch in it
