I currently have the a7rII and have been a loyal Canon guy so I have the Canon 24-70 2.8 MII in my stable. Please help me understand if I need to obtain the G 24-70 2.8 Sony in order to have the best of the best or if I am in good hands with the sony a75mII and the metabones IV with Canon 24-70 MII 2.8.

It's all speculation at this point. Until the GM is out in the wild, and someone has had the chance to test them against each other.

The 24-70Lii is part of my line up as well. The GM will have to be frickin AMAZING to beat it, because it's easily one of the best Canon lenses for use adapted on the A7Rii

My vote goes to a Batis 2/135. :-P

Here are some impressions of the new G master lenses. Notice the differentiators between the G lenses and Zeiss lenses. Beautiful bokeh vs contrast. The 85 f1.4 looks amazing.

I've never tried to measure it but that combo seems to AF as fast as it would mounted on my 5D3 to me. Accuracy is also very good and I'd say the majority of missed focus was operator error most of the time. It will use face AF but not auto eye AF. It's one of my favorite combinations of camera/lens.

I'm very close to making it my next purchase. I love my CV 35/1.7, but I would like a 35 with AF.
I've read a lot about the sigma's sharpness, but have also heard its bokeh isn't all that great. Any Thoughts on that?
