Man, I just updated to V4.0 firmware on my X-E2 today and I'm blown away by how much Fuji changed, it's like a new camera! I really wish Sony would show that kind of support to the a7 line... not that I'm not happy with my a7S, but it'd be nice if they added stuff like being able to set your minimum SS with auto ISO, higher electronic max SS, being able to map a toggle for silent shutter onto one of the buttons (something I can now do with my Fuji, and it's a feature it didn't even have before!), etc.

My buddy like's my Fuji too

It's unfortunate that the first iteration was basically a proof of concept, however second versions have been given good additions.

That's exactly my point though... many of the improvements they made were merely firmware... there's no reason they couldn't give the first lineup an update to add some of those features. The X-E2 has been replaced by 2 models (X-T10 and X-E2s) and yet Fuji still releases a new firmware update for them in 2016... that's some pretty awesome product support.

I think Oly is same in long term support.
I don't know about Panasonic ??? I'm too new with them.
Sony I think is improving and in a big ~uncompressed~ way ;)
Still NO button assignment to get me to crop mode instantly :(

Really either. If a gun to head I'd choose the first.
Both are outstanding though.
