Thanks for the link, that place is an hour from my house . I've never seen his vids before

Eddie, some of your mountain photos are just as good. I do feel quite inspired to get up early and catch the sunrise!

Thanks for the compliment Annie. Your cuilins panos are the best I've seen. Fact. I want to move to the highlands :)

Thanks, Eddie, you're too kind! West is best so be sure to stay on the west coast or the islands. Hopefully we will even have super-fast broadband by the end of the year. Woo hoo!

I tried my hand at some B&W processing of long exposure, not sure what to think. Certainly better than a sepia preset :p

I like it Charlie. Personally I would prefer the foreground lost a bit in the shadows but that's just the style I like. The contrast and light on the roofs is great in front of the dramatic sky

I dont think my PS skills are good enough to remove all the people.

I think I may agree with this but would like to see it first. This is an excellent image - the roof and the sky are amazing. If you used a Graduate filter, pulled from the bottom, and raised the shadows, I think it may complement the brighter roofs better. It is a great image.

Hockey and wedding photographer. Favourite camera / lens combos: a 1DX II with a Tamron 45 1.8 VC, an A7Rii with a Canon 24-70F2.8L II, and a 5DSR with a Tamron 85 1.8 VC. Every lens I own I strongly recommend [Canon (35Lii, 100L Macro, 24-70F2.8ii, 70-200F2.8ii, 100-400Lii), Tamron (45 1.8, 85 1.8), Sigma 24-105]. If there are better lenses out there let me know because I haven't found them.

Fantastic picture! I must say that i would love to see the shot without peoples ghostes. If you want i could remove them for you as darkening the foreground would only mean losing that interesting lines in the stairs. I also think it can be done very fast and easily as the lines are straight.
