By any chance does anyone have samples with a Canon FL 35mm 2.5?

Got my x70 today and just playing about with it to get a feel for it and see if its a keeper but the ability to choose the focus point by touch is amazing! I actually now wish the a7rii had this feature, its definately quicker than pressing the 4 way pad multiple times. On another note any time I use a different camera nowadays it reminds me how amazing the a7rii actually is. I think I start taking some things for granted after a while and its not until I'm reminded of them Glad to see another converted opinion. It's as I have said numerous times, the people who diss on touchscreens or say they're gimmicks haven't used one... that was my EOS M's saving grace, I absolutely loved the touchscreen, I seriously don't understand why people won't just accept them as an awesome advancement in technology so companies will take them more seriously and start putting them in every camera. Puckman wrote in post #17932863 The beauty of the Sony system for me is that you CAN choose to have very small and light lenses depending on the photo outing. If you're willing to go with MF and are looking for size/weight, then you can carry a number of small legacy FD lenses and M-mount lenses and there it REALLY is quite a bit smaller and lighter. And of course, you can still have an AF kit (which more likely will result in regular DSLR size lenses, more or less). Here's a shot that shows how small some of the lenses can be compared to the Canon or Sony natives side by side. Note the 2 M-mount Voigtlanders and their size. ![]() I currently have a small kit for when I want to carry less and don't care about AF (typically landscape shots, hiking around). CV 15, FD 24, FD 50, Vivitar 135. All MF. But I can fit the whole lot of them in the smallest bag. Heck, I could probably fit them all together into the 70-200 slot in my bag. No exaggerating. In fact, that was exactly the setup I took with me on my vacation to Portland last year. Now if I want faster glass, or AF, and I'm looking for portraits, or whathaveyou, then I can do the EF 16-35/4, FE 24-70, the EF 70-200/4 or I can throw in the Sigma 35, FE 55, FE 90 and the FD 135/2, or any of my Canon gear. But then, it's about the same weight and size as a DSLR kit. Very true. And that's usually my argument when people rag on their size and weight as well, though I must admit that these days when I really just want to go simple/small/light I take the X-E2 and a couple of primes in my pockets, something I can't quite do with the a7S (without looking like I'm having a reeeaallly good day xpfloyd wrote in post #17932966 Fe55 and 50L then. Canon is still smaller It might be shorter, but I definitely wouldn't call it "smaller". Fuji X-T3 // Fuji X-Pro2 (Full Spectrum) // Fuji X-H1 // Fuji X-T1

Here's one of the parking garage for the Metro station, kinda want to go back here with a tripod and some more time, I just snapped this real quick while we were walking to the car. Mar 14, 2016 02:16 | #14771 a word f caution. I have both the fotodiox and the MB. The fotodiox worked wonderfully on all my canon glass, but wasn't flocked. Then I got the sigma 35/1.4 art and discovered the fotodiox does not work with it at all. It causes the camera to crash. Can't even use it with MF. So I sprung for the MB and that works great with the sigma. jrscls wrote in post #17933924 So my journey to find lenses for the A7R II continues. Today, the Fotodiox Pro adapter arrived to convert my last remaining Canon lens, the 24-70 f/4 IS. I tried the Metabones IV T, and quite frankly I wasn't that impressed given the $400 price. I was surprised to find out that the Fotodiox one works really well (perhaps better than the MB) with the 24-70 f/4 IS lens on my A7R II. It seems like it needed a bit of time to "learn" the lens and from that point on, seems to nail focus everytime even near the perimeter of the AF frame. I had my Canon glass for sale, and this was the last lens remaining, so now I think I'm going to keep it. I also plan to use the adapter on my Sigma 35 f/1.4 Art until the new Sigma MC-11 ships. I tried the Sony/Zeiss 35mm f/1.4, but too much purple fringing and the Sigma was way less expensive with a recent promo for the lens and adapter. While the Sigma lenses are fairly large, there is no disputing their optical quality and fairly reasonable price. Sony A7RII and a bunch of lenses.

Eddie xpfloyd lookalike More info Post edited over 7 years ago by Eddie. | Mar 14, 2016 04:58 | #14775 IMAGE LINK: https://flic.kr/p/Fh4DNr Been playing around with the Fujifilm X70 over the weekend. Its a really fun little camera. Its smaller than the x100 series (x100s shown here) but not as much smaller than I had thought it would be. For me the pros compared to the x100 series are - smaller size, articulating LCD, touch screen (awesome!), sharper wide open, selfie screen (my wife wants me to keep the camera for this feature alone, it allows you to flip the screen so that it points forward and you can then take selfies, or in my case family photos where all 3 of us are in the shot which we dont normally get) However there are some cons - no viewfinder (I honestly thought this wouldnt bother me but it does, I feel like I can frame better when using a viewfinder), screen is not high enough resolution (it seems like the LCD can look slightly pixelated at times, some photos dont look sharp but they are fine in lightroom, its starting to annoy me a bit), Size (although smaller than the x100 series its still not exactly pocketable - it will fit a jacket pocket no problem but so will the x100 series. The X70 can fit in trouser/jeans pockets but its pretty obvious), aperture (f/2.8 vs f/2 - I notice this when shooting family shots indoors, the X70 settings are always high in comparison) At this point I dont think I am going to keep the X70. I have also been playing around with my mates X100s over the weekend for a comparison and have really clicked with it. Im not 100% yet but I think I am going to give the x100T a second try. The first time I sold it as I was wanting something smaller, now that I have tried one of the smallest APSC options and realised I think im asking to much in terms of size its opened my eyes to the x100 series again. I will have a think about it more before making a decision. I appreciate this is the sony forum but thought I would post for those that may be interested. Plus the shot was taken with an A7RII so it sort of fits here ![]() (And for those interested the next camera on the shelf is a Canon AE1 and the one after that is a Kodak Brownie) Leica M11 | Leica Q2 | Sony α7RV
