In a couple months I'm looking to camp out at Ft. Jefferson in the Dry Tortugas for a few days and am looking to shoot the night sky. I know it's probably a common sense thing but just verifying that I'm better off with a moonless sky when attempting this. Be gentle. There should be no light from the fort from what I gather so I should be good there for light painting if needed for a shot. Any other considerations that I should take into account other than weather. I see the other links at the top of the page and am going through them now. Thanks.

Be sure to let us know how it goes. I've been out to Ft. Jefferson and have also wanted to camp out there and do some astro shooting. It has to be a wonderful place for astrophotography. Just be sure to watch out for the rats at the camp site at night (at least that's what I've heard)!
