Acrylic/Plexi will also work, though the reflection is a lot more dim and subtle compared to glass. Look up local plastics suppliers for black acrylic/plexi, I found a local place called "Plastics America" that got me a 4'x8' sheet of 1/8" black acrylic for about $140. Shoot from far away and a low angle for best reflections. This is what I do. You get a much better reflection than plexi. Remember what the DorMouse said.....feed your head.

This can be an issue with smaller products at acute angles. Any sign shop in your area should be able to get you sheet acrylic in just about any color, and for less than a set shop would charge. In the past I have used the shiny glazed ceramic tile, available in many colors. But usually the largest you can get is 12" x 12". My first real camera was a Canon F1. That was a long time ago.
