went down to check on a nearby osprey nest here this afternoon - no sign of young 'uns in the nest yet, just the two adults taking turns sitting on the eggs. but i did get the best shot i've managed so far of a swallow in flight... these little suckers are a nightmare just to keep in the viewfinder, much less any sort of focus! 7DII, 300mm, 1/1600 @ f/8

thanks! my "keeper" rate for swallow BIFs is still very low - this was the only good one out of about 20 attempts - but it's getting better...
