first time to Yosemite. It was a shame I had to shoot mid day though. :( but these are all I have edited so far. Did I go too heavy on the HDR? Let me know what you guys think. Thanks.

I think the HDR is a little heavy. The lens distortion in the first one really ruins it for me.

I also think the HDR is a tad heavy also. IMHO, it is nice to have a bit of shadow in the image, especially landscape (image 1).

The HDR does feel a little too heavy for me as well. I think the thing that bothers me the most is the greens, seem way over done to me. The Merced river is always a darker colour, never seen it glow like that.

It is a tough place to shoot larger landscapes in mid-day, I live an hour south and go there often.

To be honest the Merced River was glowing like that. It was weird. I'll post up the raw photo. The sun must have been hitting it a weird way

I agree about the lens distortion in the first one. As for the HDR processing, a lot of photographers will tell you it's too much for their taste and it is for me as well. However, a lot of art buyers like it that way and it sells really well.

Like the reworked versions more, the greens have a less "supernatural" look to them, nice work.
