Good teal shots Dave. Nice lighting in #1, and that's the longest, pointiest bill I've ever seen on a teal in #2. Odd Montana subspecies I'm guessing. ;-)a

Naw, it's the water up there, does strange things.:-D Actually, thought it was a Snipe-then got out my book and said Short-Billed Dowitcher. But map says strictly a shore bird.?.? So, what is your "long pointy bill Teal"? Well shot and thanks for the little brain teaser.

Oops, I've been caught! I think the second shot is a Dowitcher, but I guess it could be a mutant from North Dakota! Pretty obvious I wasn't paying attention when I posted!
