Interesting read - he likes his mods and knows a good thing from experience alright.

As many of us have said, Al Jacobs agrees...Customer Brackets good pro quality but 28 oz of added weight to heft around (plus you still need the camera plate to add yet more weight). Newton good pro quality and only 8 oz of added weight to heft around!

Just a bit late on this thread. I just took delivery of my Stroboframe Cameraflip. It's compact, light weight, easy to use, and appears to do the job I needed done. At $70 it was a bargain. There is a learning curve involved with them though, just remembering how it all works.
