Has anyone bought/tired one of these on a 300D?

I am considering getting one to get some decent wide angle shots.

Would appreciate any thoughts/comments on this lens.

I use one on a 20D and love it.

The FOV at 10mm is insane, it makes for some great shots. It is limited in its use, but all UWA's are. It's sharp wide open at 10mm and even sharper wide open at 20mm.

You can't go wrong with it :D

The widest lens I have is the 18-55 kit lens and I have found that sometimes the 18 is not wide enough.

I was considering the Sigma 24-70 F2.8 Macro, but then I thought the 10-20 might be a better buy as I have the 24-70 range covered with the kit lens and the Sigma 55-200.

Hmmm, decisions, decisions.

It's a superb lens and has rarely left my camera since I got it. I bought it when I realised that my kit lens was almost always set to 18mm but I wasn't getting a wide 'feel' from that. At the 10mm end it produces very exciting perspectives and at the 20mm end it's practically a 'standard' lens. The only downside is it could do with being a stop faster, but then I suppose it would be a stop more expensive too!

When I first started in photography my first lens was a 28-70 zoom, and I always felt it wasn't wide enough, it wasnt' long before I traded that out for a 20-35 zoom, and not too long after I bought a digital SLR I added the 10-20 to my bag. I always seem to be drawn to the extreme ends of the focal range, I'm even thinking about an 8mm full frame fisheye too.

By far cheaper than the Canon equivalent, and thanks to Jojo, I realised that it was pretty much just as sharp if not sharper, and I was right. Mine is very sharp, colors and contrast are right on. Heres some sample I used it at for a wedding.

Love that limo shot! Yes, I agree if it were at all faster, it would rock. I used it during the reception, very dark, yet shooting at 1/25 it was easy to keep it steady and get great results. Highly recomend the lens.

Great shots Sikario!

I love my Sigma 10-20 - http://www.pbase.com …wexlerphoto/sigma1020test (external link).

It's the only non-Canon lens I own.
