A great lens, however possible selling soon, if I upgrade to a 5D or 1D III

Wazza i also bought the 5D, but i was so impressed with the sigma that i kept the 300D just for that lens.

ps: Good luck with the move, what part of kent are you moving to.

Thanks, I'll be staying next to Danson Park, Welling. Pretty close to London.
Are you in Kent yourself?

Everytime I see that picture I want to fly out to the coast and setup the tripod. :D

The 10-20 isn't EF-S. It has a smaller image circle, but it will still mount. You can crop out the black edges if you take a 15mm shot with a 5d and have an extremely wide 7-8mp shot still. I think anything down to 13mm is usable on a 1D. I plan on using my 10-20 with my 35mm camera this fall.

Exactly, It is my understanding that only Canon uses the EF-S, Electronic Focus - Short back focus.

Sigma uses the DC designation, meaning it cropped for 1.5x and 1.6x cameras, for "optimum" performance. :)

Correct. Any other EOS-mount lenses made by third-parties will *fit* any EOS cameras, but they may have a black ring around the edge.

restedtraveller, what kind of polarizer are you using for those shots? I want to get one but I want to make sure the effect is even.

I've been wanting to buy this lens for months.

So, it came back in stock at B&H today, and I grabbed it up. AGH how I hate spending money!

From what everyone says, I'll never regret it though!
