This was the first time I have seen noctilucent clouds and photographed them.
Wasn't really expecting to see much last night due to the clouds and rain.

Tried to show this using a panoramic format instead of the normal crop.

Very good... Nice capture..

It seems you guys across the pond get them a lot more than we do in North America. I've known about noctilucent clouds for six years and have only managed to see them once.

Thanks for the comments.
I have seen them twice now over two nights, the first picture I posted was the first time I had ever seen them. I am keeping a watch for more over the next couple of months.
Are you in the right area for seeing them? You generally have to be above 50 degrees latitude to be in with a chance.

They are lovely to see and it feels weird that at 1am it is still light outside with the sun just below the horizon to the north.
Here is one from the morning of the 3rd of June...

Yes, I'm just north of 50. It's common to see the aurora here, but noctilucent clouds.... Not so much :)

Wow. Two nights in a row. Another good shot. I took a peek last night at sunset but I guess they favor Europe

I guess they do, although they have been quiet the past few nights. It is still the start of the season so we still have until August.
Keep looking out for them :), I hope you get to see them soon.
