Anyone been to, or is from South france? We are planning a trip to France in December. The trip is mainly to visit my mother in-law for Christmas, she lives near Beziers, in Abeilhan. We are staying 3 weeks, so costs are down without the need for a hotel, which is good, so we can afford other things, while we are there.
The focus is not on birding, but I definitely want to get out, at least a few times. I know December is not an ideal time, but I will just have to make do.
"Parc Naturel Régional de Camargue", is already on my list of must see.
Any other thoughts? I mainly shoot birds, but wildlife and other nature things are just fine with me too. She and my wife have no interest in birding (just putting that out there) My mother in-law has a small car, so I can travel. However I doubt she will lend it to me to drive by myself, even if she does, I can't put tonnes of miles on her car. So I might need alternate transportation. I'm fine taking the train, and I hear they have a good canal system.
