I normally shoot dance recitals with two cameras one with a 70-200L and the other with my 300L but it was very cumbersome and I missed quite a few shots this way. So I decided to get my first third party lens, a Sigma 120-300 Sport. After my first use I was very impressed with the image quality and auto focus capabilities. If you've been considering this lens I can easily recommend it.

Here are a couple shots from my first outing. Thanks for looking.

Beautiful images. I had seriously considered this lens as an alternative to the 300mm in combination with the 70-200 but decided the weight was too much for hand holding and a monopod would not be practical for shooting fast moving sports. I'm still not sure I made the right decision. Thanks for posting these.

Lovely pics! I can never find a good lens to cover all my theatre needs; I reckon I need a 50-250mm, f2.8, weighing no more than about 750g.

If anyone ever finds one, please let me know :-)
