Lighting on the second image is very flat due to the on camera flash. The high key look isn't translated well enough on the model as it is on the background and her skin colour has too much red blotchiness going on. Also watch your corners as overlooked objects can be distracting. The top image is the better of the two and the posing in both is ok, however try and use maybe a softer light source off camera along with ensuring colour correction is applied to bring together face and other skin areas in line. Notice the colour of the models legs in the top image compared with her upper body. Use a bigger light source for full length if your aim is to expose the entire model evenly. Also watch for reflected light off the background and how it can creep back on to the subject, this can be used effectively however it can also be deterimental if not controlled. Move subject away from the background, use flags or reduce the power of the background light.

Thanks for the observations. Now altered background lighting to avoid light spill. Skin variations also taken on board.
