Those are wonderful photos of a neat raptor. When I lived in Texas some years ago, during spring migration large groups of MS Kites would set down rather late in the day, hours after other hawks called it a day, and leave early in the morning, much earlier than thermal-dependent migrant raptors.
Lucky you ! For now I can only dream of the day I get to see a string of these kites....
