From 2014 - Texas Flying Legends - AM62 Model 21 Zero visiting Cavanaugh Flight Museum. Some experts claim this as one of the most accurate restorations.

But one thing is for sure, a perfectly restored A6M2 Model 21 fighter can be seen - sometimes flying - but usually on display. This Zero, reclaimed and restored by the Blayd Corporation, has been praised by Japanese aeronautical engineers and world experts. It is the only Zero built in exact detail with the exception of its DC-3 engine. It is the Last Samurai that will take to the air with the same performance that allowed it to dominate the skies in the early years of the war. It is living history: an example that reveals the genius of the men who designed it and a tribute to the bravery and skill of the men who fought against it. Texas Flying Legends (external link)

Not really accurate.... It was restored in Russia... See the GREEN in the wheel wells?? Thats that Russian green coated aluminum....

If you want to see a REAL ZERO (not one built up out of junk), then you need to go to Planes of Fame in Chino. Theirs even has a real Japanese engine in it.

One could argue that 99% of the WWII warbirds are built up from junk, some better than others. Nonetheless, nice photo, perfect prop blur.

Thanks for stopping by P51Mstg ...

Thanks bsmotril ... I probably got lucky on the prop blur :-D

Ran across this video of the pilot (Warren Pietsch) [discussing the above mentioned zero] ... pretty interesting.
