Good series - I like the second the best out of the group.

Quick question: in #1, what is the black object on the outfield grass between the pitcher and first baseman? I know it's out of place, but I can't tell what it is.

I'd be pretty happy with these from the seats. So they let you bring a 100-400 in?

I've brought the 100-400 to both baseball and soccer games at Yankee Stadium. One time the security guard at the gate said cameras weren't allowed (she must have been new) but her supervisor said that it was. The Yankees website clearly says the extended zoom lenses are allowed.
