I haven't tried too hard yet, these two were sitting in my lilac bush next to my back door.

Ok Sandy, game on! ..... As soon as one stops in and stays! I have never had such a long wait for them to stop in, I've read that this is a common problem this year. Oh well.
Nice shots btw, especially the first.

Thanks Bret, I actually have more of them than normal...at least 4! I'm still shocked to see 2 or 3 of them on a feeder at the same time. I have 4 feeders in all.

Good shooting, Sandy! I too, am enjoying a lot of activity. BUT, all females  If a male does happen by, he is immediately sent packing. Judging by the "chubby " females I've seen, there are males around or at least one very virile one!

There will be days when you get the shot(s) you missed days, months or years before.

Looks to me like you're the one who stole everyone else's hummingbirds Sandy! :-)
Nicely captured Mom and Dad to be, and hoping for many more captures for you in the future.

Thanks Rog, Ted and Steve! My biggest downfall with Hummingbirds is patience...oh look...there's a Yellow Bellied Sapsucker's nesting tree! And Mom and Dad are very busy bring food to the babies...gotta go!

Beautiful shots. I like the way you titled this thread Sandy. It is really a challenge to photograph hummingbirds like for me I have a resident Anna's hummingbird in our backyard at least 3 of them but for over a month I've been trying to have a decent shots like perched or in flight but no luck but yesterday I finally got a perched and few in flight shots I still need to download them.

Thanks Carol. I had three of them squabbling next to me last night. After having one die during a fight a couple of years ago, they make me nervous when they do that. I put up 4 feeders, hoping to cut down on the conflicts...it doesn't work!

Thanks Jeff. You may have less activity, but you get better photographs than me!
