Thank you, everyone for all of your comments. These beautiful birds bring so much joy and are facinating to watch. They are also great at consuming losts of bugs. Another added bonus of having nest boxes are the wonderful tree swallows who also will take up residence in the nest boxes. They also consume lots of bugs and are beautiful to watch and they blue birds and the tree swallows are very respectful and peacefully coexist together. I have also found the tree swallows are really good at helping to keep the sparrows away too.

These are awesome shots too Carol. That last shot is a wonderful portrait! The Swallows are so fun to watch and catch insects on the fly.
