I saw these Burrowing Owls at Vista View Park yesterday. As I tried to get closer they gave me some "nasty" looks. What were they trying to tell me?

"I may be distracted but I still have my eyes on you." (1st image)

"She may be sleeping but I am still watching you." (2nd image)

lol. These are very cool. Love the first shot the most. These are the kind of birds I would love to photograph. I am so envy.

Come to south Florida and you will see a lot of them. I saw about 7 at three different spots at the park in Davie FL.

very nice indeed... really like the first one. these little guys always seem to be frowning at you in a disapproving manner. would love to get some shots of one!

One day I would love to do that. I think it is worth visiting that place all the way from Seattle. Maybe I should adk my wife if we can bring the kids to Disney World than I can spend a day just for burrowing owls. Are they there all year round? Thanks

I have seen them throughout the year but mainly around winter/spring time. Over the last 3 years I have seen at least one at Tree Tops Park (Davie), Vista View Park (Davie), Brian Piccolo Park (Cooper City), Central Broward Regional Park (Lauderhill) and Driftwood Middle School (Hollywood)..
