An eagle made a raid on the local heron colony. 2 babies
7dii/100-400 1.4x and cropped

amazing shots, Dean! eagles are much more common around here these days, and they're doing the same thing... preying on the GBHs, raiding their nests and taking young ones... not good for the heron population! though we have no shortage of herons...

Thanks everyone. I was having a staring contest with a kingfisher when the heron colony exploded.
Chances like this happen so fast, you can only point, shoot and hope. There is no take #2.....at least
not until next meal time.:evil:
