Up until recently, I never gave my images titles or captions. I would just upload to Flickr and recently, to 500px. It was when I started uploading to 500px, did I start filling in the title and caption in the metadata.

Now, I'm going through my library and haven't decided if I want unique titles and captions for each image, the same title/caption across multiple images, or stick with only giving my images titles/captions when I share them online.

Do you assign titles/captions to each of your images or just specific ones? Are you giving unique titles/captions to your images?

I will very often give my images a Title/Caption. Mostly it will be for my aviation images. I usually use the manufacturer/model details that are also included in the Keywords. If there are some additional details, on particular aircraft, for example a lot of older ex WWII military aircraft have Nose Names, specific to a particular aircraft, or Squadron or other operator details, and that becomes the caption. I'll usually also add a suitable title to my other images, especially if they are for one of the community groups that I am involved with.

Dave. I am looking to do the same thing, can i ask the name of the software you intend using or currently using? I am using Canon DPP version 4 on an iMac. I have been informed that DPP do not support this option (at present).

Thanks Paul
