Is there a limit to how many PMs we can keep?

Even if there is no limit, is it possible to have a tick box for us to decide if we want to have contents of a PM sent as part of a notification? I like all my messages in one place, if possible.

I really liked that in the old, old forum we saw content in the PM notifications and other users missed it when it went away. It gave us the ability to archive conversations, whether it was between friends or to document negotiations about a sale. I used to go back to old PMs in my email so that I could recall how much I spent on a particular used lens before reselling it. Otherwise,

Actually, we stopped sending the contents of PMs in their notifications before AMASS came along, when spammers began sending out PMs instead of posting in the forums.

Yeah... that's why I said old, old forum! Would like it to come back... but if it's a spam issue... is there a way to remedy that by preventing spammers from signing up for accounts?

Out of context because I wasn't concerned at all about spam.

I can of course add export PM folder tool later.

Big problem with spam (if content is posted, too) in PM email notifications is that even if you are not personally bothered by it, it would only need a couple of reports from mail service users and soon we get blacklisted - and that would prevent ALL for getting mail for addresses in that service or it would go to spam folders directly. That is the reason the forum must not send any post or PM content via mail.

And again, the "old" forum did not send PM contents either, I set it so.

Okay no matter.;-)a I thought that you were asking how spammers could be kept from signing up.

Pekka, AMASS now scans an image for EXIF automatically and it works. But I found it doesn't always work and I can't figure out why exactly. I tested a few things and it first seemed that images that were posted more than once, AMASS doesn't retrieve the EXIF. I specifically tested for this by posting a new image twice (from ipernity). But AMASS retrieved the EXIF flawlessly for both images.

But then take a look here: https://photography-on-the.net …p?p=16977870&i=i181239871
I posted them a year ago and AMASS didn't scan them. I followed instructions and clicked EDIT, then submitted, waited and nothing happened. So AMASS did not scan the image. I filled in the EXIF manually for the first shot. Now that first shot I also posted elsewhere and set up with metadata months ago. The second one I'm not sure. I searched for it, but didn't find it and with Search resetting all the time, I gave up quickly. ;-)a

Or how about this one, just posted the other day: https://photography-on-the.net …p?p=17598320&i=i216610197
AMASS didn't scan it as there's no EXIF. I may have posted it somewhere else too, not sure really.

I don't know what it is exactly, but as I didn't see any warning or message from you about anything that could cause this in the meta data editor, I'm guessing there's some bug at work?
