Never seen a Carolina Chickadee, your shots make me want to Steve! Love the kid, this is the time of year for so many, great for wildlife photogs.
Thanks very much Ian, and you're right that Spring is a wonderful time to be a capturer of wildlife.

I love Chickadees and these are beautiful shots. I've almost never see ours in the springtime. I see ours mostly on the cooler months.
I appreciate your comment very much Paul. Curious how yours stay incognito til the cooler months isn't it.

I have never knowingly witnessed a chickadee family interaction-Downies and Sparrows a lot. Thanks for sharing and top-notch shooting as always, buddy.
Note to self: instead of throwing away those marginal grapes, utilize them like Steve.

Haha Rog, don't tell my birds those are marginal grapes
Always appreciate your comments and input and there are lotsa family interactions going on that neither of us can capture....but we keep trying!

Neat set Steve, and excellent shots. Hope you acted at least a little intimidated when you were "crested" by the parent...
Thanks Mike, and I could say I was quaking in my boots at the Chickadee crest....but then you'd know I'm a liar
Thank you much @chillpons! A story played out on many levels, this one just happened to be my smallest visitors.

Wonderful shots Steve looks like the EXIF has picked up the wrong lens ID on a couple.
Always appreciate you chiming in Lester. I didn't know that EXIF data was shown automatically now until you said something. I guess a Canon Photo forum should be forgiven for getting a few Nikon parameters wrong. Thanks for the heads up, it's been corrected and I'll keep an eye out in the future.

Great set Steve. I have Black Capped Chickadee youngsters here. The Yellow Bellied Sapsucker babies are still hiding in their hole, with Mom and Dad forever foraging for them. I also put out grapes, but have yet to see who takes them. I saw a Chipmunk push one out of his way yesterday. Keep shooting and sharing!
I was just thinking Sandy how difficult it would be for me to ID a Black-capped as they look so much like a Carolina to me. I guess as long as they know the difference all is well. Thanks as always for the complimentary comments.

Wonder set Steve.
I am confused by your EXIF
D4 +100-400?
14 2.8?
Are you shooting remotely? I've considered it but don't have a cable long enough.
I wish I could figure out how to shoot remotely and get good results Jeremy. The EXIF errors were on the part of the forum I guess since it now reports EXIF automatically. I've corrected the EXIF and thanks to you too for the lovely comments....and ideas about remotes!

Okay, the exif is being added automatically now. Luckily mine just posted correctly...I checked!
I hope "The Forum" doesn't hate Nikon that much Sandy that it'd sabotage the EXIF
Nah, probably not; but I'll keep my eye out in the future.
