From my first time out shooting baseball. Lots of fun! Need to get better at well, everything.

Did a little research on here and Fredmiranda.com to see what the best shots are to get. I did my best, but I need a lot more practice.
That said, I'm still pretty happy with how it all came out.

If you have any advise or CC. Please feel free to chime in. :-)

I know there is no ball in the frame, but I really liked the follow through and the expression. If it were going to be in a portfolio, should I keep this one, of toss it?

I think shots of your high quality deserve a team with better uniforms.

This just goes to show that a talented photographer is just that....a talented photographer. it took me 6 years of shooting to get images of this quality. Well done colors, clarity, focus, action all spot on.

1st time huh? Nice freaking shots!

Not entirely sure you could change much to what you have posted to make them "any better."
Regarding #3. I like it.

Fantastic! The first few images appear a little over-exposed to me, but that's being nit-picky. You hit a homerun with #6. I also really like #8 for whatever reason. Bravo!

Thanks a lot, Noitca.
Yep, thank goodness this was a doubleheader so could spend the first game trying to get the timing.

Thanks, Aressem! I'm very okay with nit-picking, all it'll do is help me get better. :)

Really appreciate the feedback everyone! Cheers

These are really good! If your shutter speed on 1 and 2 was the same as 7 and 8 those captures would be of been killer!

Yeah.. Wish I would have nailed those two with a higher shutter speed. But on the plus side, now I know. Lol. :-D
Thanks, Wmccree.

Bahaha. Not to discredit the photog, but yeah - pretty much. That's a $16,000 rig (not including tax). Nuff said ;p

Lol. Thanks Bobbyz. You have a really valid point. Being the photog here, I take no offense/discredit personally at all, aressem. I'll be the first one to be honest about it, yeah, there comes a point where the gear really does make all the difference. Pretty sure the results from my old rebel XSi and 70-300 3.5-5.6 would look nothing even comparable. So yeah... It's the truth.

But to be fair, the shots would not look the same at all if you hand the same rig over to a person who puts it in 100% auto and just fires away. ;)

On a side note, I've been VERY fortunate with the gear. Saved up for about 3 years for the 1Dx and the 400 is a non IS II. It's an 18 year old lens they I snagged over on Fredmiranda for wicked cheap. No way could I afford a new 400 f/2.8L IS II right now. Lol.
