yes to the vignette. and to me it's fine the way you have it.

Look up the vignette tutorials on phlearn.com

They even make non believers, like me, love them

I don't usually do vignettes for solid white bsckgrounds, but they don't bug me either (personal preference). I do use them for outdoor portraits and such quite a bit. I'd lighten the vignette if it were mine, as some others have said before. I don't like having them quite that strong.
