DSLR Speed Challenge #380 - 'Summer Fun'

Let's see your favorite photos of your interpretation of 'Summer Fun'

This challenge begins when posted, and will end at 9:00 p.m. Eastern time Wednesday June 24, 2015

Winner of this challenge will be announced shortly thereafter.

Standard Rules apply for Photo Submissions:
1. Camera: Any DSLR Camera
2. Time: Any on-topic photo taken at any time is eligible, although photos that have won other competitions should NOT be entered.
3. Size: Please visit Image Posting Rules.
4. Post Processing: Do whatever you like and the host will decide if it works.
5. Posting: ONE PHOTO per photographer in each challenge. Camera model & lens used. Post brief EXIF data including ISO, shutter speed and aperture used.
6. Commenting: No commenting during challenge. When the posting is closed and a winner has been declared, comme
nts can be made in this thread.
7. Keep it clean, and both Family and Work safe.
8. Have questions, PM me.

Great entries this week. I have to pick Tom's photo of the bear as the winner. It kept me thinking about how fun could actually end suddenly for the dude with the point and shoot.

Congrats to Tom, who obviously knows what he's doing around wildlife (I see his FL was over 300mm for that shot) but if the car belongs to that guy with the P&S then he'd never make it back if that bear charged - really, really stupid.

Great shot Tom, well deserved. Looking forward to DSLR Speed Challenge #381.

Thanks, everyone - it's an honor.

I'll do my best to get a new challenge up, but it might be difficult to do so promptly. A temporary living situation in a very remote mountainous area is causing me to have very limited internet access. Over the net 3 1/2 weeks, I will have either:

a) an extremely slow internet connection that "drops" a lot (causing me to lose everything I typed up to that point)

or

b) no internet connection at all

If anyone wants to jump in and take over for challenge #381, that would be fine with me.

I apologize for the excessive delay in responding to this issue.

Don't think you should be stuck with running two challenges in succession, Don, so why don't you pick a second place winner to the Summer Fun challenge and ask him/her to take over ASAP?
