Hey Presha....I see you have a fuji 617 like I have a Fotoman 617......Using it much these days?...Regrettably I dont do as much these days but I have a couple in my Flickr link below....One of Uluru and one of coastline here in Victoria (Austra;ia) you can see I took with the fotoman .

Do you have any to view as I would be interested in seeing them if you have some posted somewhere on the net?
BTW I saw a couple of your landscapes in the other thread and those phase ones are unbelievably good!!! Well done . I suppose thats your landscape camera now instead of the 617 .........Peter Lick and Ken Duncan went same way....I think I maybe next also . Shame really as I just loved looking at the transparancies on the light table after the film was developed....Such rich colors from film like ektachrome and Fuji's velvia etc :)

Cheers

Hey Clipper_from_OZ!

It's Always a pleasure to speak with you my friend and thank for the kind words! I haven't used the Fuji 617 in a while, not because I have the phaseone, but more because I haven't been out lately; family and work (this time of year) keeps me close to home. I have about 150 rolls of velvia in my freezer and I absolutely love the 617 and very well intend to shoot every last roll in the near future! (and buy of course). Like you, I love the rich look of Fuji velvia slides on a light board. I have dozens of images but nothing posted on any website; give me til this weekend and I'll post a few on my website so that you may view!

Talk you soon!

Wow.....150 rolls on ice!! You better position an armed guard infront of the freezer as it would be worh quite a bit now!....And here I am thinking I was tying up too much spare cash with approx 55 Rolls of Velvia I never use nowdays :)!! Mind you I also have another 45 -50 rolls of Ektachrome that I was counting on making a killing on selling until Kodak announced they werte goingto make it again....Now my out of date KodaK 120 rolls are starting to come back down in price slightly on Ebay although still well above the old retail price

The real lucky break for me was with the "peel apart" Fuji instant film I have for my Mamiya Universal Cameras. Just before it was announced that Fuji were stopping production I bought 50 boxes (10peel aparts per box )of the color FB- 100c and 25 box of the B&W FB3000 from Amazon as I was sick and tired of ordering smaller quantities every month locally especially when my kids give the instant stuff a pounding when their friends come around and they fool with the Mamiyas. I cant believe it each time I see peel apart listed lately on Ebay for as as high as $83.00AUD a box when I bought mine for heaps less . It starts to make me thi9nk maybe I need an armed guard myself to mind this expensive stuff !https://www.ebay.com.au …cAAOSwuNNb2b~h:rk:39:pf:0 (external link)

Crazy stuff

Also would love to see some 617 shots if you can post up some time

Cheers

Following a morning bushwhack off trail looking for big redwoods, some "run & gun" of the autumn redwood forest. It was more windy than I prefer for photos, but I couldn't drive out without a few keepsakes for the day. Aside from the wind, the look of the forest was at its best.

Lovely.

Do you know what kind of birds these are.

I enjoy birds ... used to have a green cheek conure some time ago. They have a lot of personality.

The 1st bird is one of Australias best known parrots which is the Crimson Rosella. The second bird is an Australian Striated Pardalote. Most people dont see these smaller pardalotes as they tend to be high in the eucalyptus tree/ forest and dont venture low that much. Im lucky because the lodge we regularly visit in the Australian Alpine region is set on a steep mountain slope( in winter ski in ski out) so the birds up higher are almost level with me on the 3rd floor outdoor balcony that I normally shoot from.

Cheers
